Stihl have very much redefined the market with the FS55 as you no longer have to buy an unknown or unbranded brushcutter if you are on a tight budget.

Brushcutters differ from grass trimmers have they have a straight shaft leading down to a mechaincal gearbox where the head or blade fits on. This makes them longer lasting and much more proficient at clearing areas of overgrown grass etc. For taller users they are longer so it is easier to work with an upright posture. Loop (as opposed to Cowhorn) handle model is FS55R
