This is a transmission link pin used on both the hydro link and brake link on versions of the 40" (102 cm), and 48" (122 cm) twincut machines manufactured by Castelgarden. This is an Italian manufacturer that produces many lawn tractors and mowers that are sold in the UK under various brands including Honda, Lawnking, John Deere, Efco, Mountfield.

The chain was used on models with a mid mounted gearbox (hydrostatic and manual) driving back to a rear differential axle via this chain.
