DR Premier 11.50 RS Chipper Shredder This dedicated self feeding wood chipper will power through branches up to 3.75" (9.5cm) in diameter. Powered by an easy starting and reliable Briggs & Stratton 250cc OHV engine, this self feeding wood chipper features a 14" flywheel and Pro-Spec chipper knife made of high-carbon/high-chromium forged alloy tool steel to effectively chip through branches.

The large hoppers allow you to put a quantity of branches, saplings or even whole trees at unkind the self feeding feature pulls the wood through the chipper and the wood chippings are thrown out of the discharge chute.


Briggs and Stratton OHV Engine
The legendary power, performance and durability of Briggs & Stratton® engines make them the only ones we use on our DR Chippers. The 11.5 FPT Self-Feeding Chipper uses a durable 250cc Overhead Valve, easy-starting engine. It features a debris management system that protects the engine from whatever you kick up while you’re chipping and shredding.

Heavy-Duty Flywheel
The key to efficient wood chipping is the rotating mass created by the flywheel on which the chipper knife is mounted. The 11.5 Self-Feeding model features a 14” diameter flywheel that’s a half-inch thick and weighs a hefty 25 pounds. It spins at 101 mph and takes an amazing 40 “bites” per second!

Oversized Chipping Hopper
Our big chipping hoppers will accept whole armfuls of small branches at branches at once, or even whole trees and saplings — with little or no trimming of side branches. This saves tremendously on the time you spend pruning and preparing materials for chipping.

Self-Feeding Action
A large vertically oriented hopper, a precisely-angled heavy-duty chipping knife, and a powerful air channel work together to pull branches into the chipping hopper and blast wood chips out the discharge. Most materials will self-feed, so once you drop a branch in your free to get the next one. No force feeding required!

Pro-Spec Chipper Knife
Unlike most “bargain” chipper knives that are made out of stamped steel, our chipper knives are made of high-carbon / high-chromium hardened D2 steel for excellent edge-holding ability.

The knife tips travel at 101-144 mph, depending on the model. This provides faster, cleaner chipping, and helps the knife draw the material into the chipping chamber
